Beijing - Forbidden City
Beijing, the capital of China, and with a population of over 14 million people, is one of the world's largest cities. It was first established as the capital in the Yuan dynatsy (1279 - 1368) and has many imposing sights, although because the sea of change sweeping through China it can feel very modern.
