The mountains of Sierra Nevada form the southern end of the Rocky Mountains and are generally contained within the states of California and northern Arizona.

More commonly known as 'The Sierras', the mountains are home to some of the most spectacular national parks to be found in the United States, including Yosemite, Death Valley and the Grand Canyon.
