Mutnovsky is complex of four superimposed volcanoes with a summit 2322 m high, and is the most spectacular phenomenon in Kamchatka. Each volcano has produced a separate crater, which have collapsed into each other and are linked by a glacial system. The volcano last erupted explosively in 1960, and still contains powerful fumaroles.
