Glencoe - Rannoch Moor
Glencoe, The Weeping Glen, is the best known and most visited glen in all of Scotland, and with good reason. The glen lies east to west with the steep hillsides of The Three Sisters to the south, and the Aonach Eagach or 'Notched Ridge' to the north. Guarding the entrance to the glen from Rannoch Moor is the mighty Buachaille Etive Mor, the most spectacular of all the Scottish mountains.

The vast expanse of Rannoch Moor stretches across Argyll to Glencoe and is crossed if approaching the glen from the east. The emptyness of the lochans and ground that make up Rannock Moor is best seen from the tops of Buachaille Etive More and Creise.
