The area can be reached relatively quickly from the conurbations in the central belt, but the real adventure of visiting this vast area is to penetrate into the remote mountain areas accessible only by foot. All three mountains provide some of the best walking and climbing in Scotland, with the added attraction of the spectacular corries situated on the north side of all three mountains.
